About
Access Gallery is an inclusive nonprofit organization in Denver dedicated to empowering artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the arts, creating a safe and nurturing haven for exploration and growth. We believe in fostering creativity and independence, providing pathways to meaningful artistic engagement and the development of sustainable practices within a supportive network.
For over four decades, Access Gallery has been a leader in accessible arts in Colorado, continually evolving to meet the changing needs of participants. For the last 20 years, its home in the Santa Fe Arts District has been central to this work. We are committed to offering equitable access to the arts, supporting the development of creative skills, and building opportunities that recognize and value the unique artistic contributions of everyone within our collaborative environment. To this end, we cultivate artistic development through engaging learning experiences and provide resources that support artists in building their portfolios and exploring diverse techniques. Through our exhibitions, events, and educational programs, we build a strong sense of belonging. We also champion accessibility in the arts, advocating for inclusive practices that ensure complete access to cultural facilities and activities for all.
Located in Denver's thriving Santa Fe Arts District, Access Gallery is home to a dedicated art gallery, studio, and digital lab, providing artists with empowering spaces to connect, collaborate, and create. Within this welcoming space, art's power breaks down barriers, fostering creative expression and building a vibrant community rooted in mutual support and shared artistic passion.
Access Gallery is free and open to the public. Join us for our exhibitions and events, including First and Third Friday Art Walks.
